SAIL
MdH Communications has a long history with the SAIL event, held every 5 years in and
around the harbour of Amsterdam. After being involved with the 1995 and 2000 editions,
MdH is now committed to the sponsor acquisition and strategic advise for SAIL 2010.
It started with the management of representing the main sponsors of SAIL 1995, including multinationals such as Heineken, Nissan, ING, KPN and Postbank. As a result MdH was appointed
by the Amsterdam SAIL foundation to handle all commercial aspects of the Millennium SAIL event
and was succesful in acquiring 95% of the 8 milion Euro budget.
Aside of profitable sponsor acquisition and strategic advise, MdH always makes every effort to
support the client in their strive for return on their investment. An example is the 2000 editions’
contract with the owners of Clipper Stad Amsterdam. MdH then developed an exclusive ’Clipper Partner Programme’ in association with US based Yale business school.
